Vegeta-Strongest Anime Characters

Vegeta-Strongest Anime Characters

Wherever there’s Goku (because yes, don’t worry, we did include Goku on this list), there’s usually Vegeta trailing a little ways behind, most likely fuming with pride and rage. If Vegeta were to migrate to any other anime, or any other fictional world at all, he would cause some serious damage, despite him not being the strongest character in the Dragon Ball series. It’s important to remember here that Vegeta has surpassed Goku in strength several times in the anime and manga. It’s just that Vegeta’s sporadic, temporary dominance tends to be just that — temporary. Goku always manages to find a way to level up and put Vegeta back in his place. But that’s just because Goku is mega uber. Vegeta is supremely powerful by all measures of the world. If you or any other factual or fictional character brought up Vegeta’s shortcomings compared to Goku, he wouldn’t hesitate before walloping you one right on your rude face.

Goku-Strongest Anime Characters

Goku-Strongest Anime Characters

What’s a list of powerful anime characters without our hero and friend, mister Son Goku? If we didn’t fit him into an entry here, we might have had a sweaty bevy of howling weeaboos parading our door, waving invisible kamehamehas at our silhouette in the window. Avoiding all that, keeping things honest at all times, we include Goku among the very strongest of anime characters. In fact, Goku is one of the most powerful fighters in fiction, period. His feats of physical strength and speed, along with his ability to generate horrifying, gleaming beams of light from his body at will make him one heck of a bastard to face in a fight to the death. No need to fret, though — if you are of sound heart, then Goku is your friend, and he will never harm a hair on your body. However, if you’re consumed by the drive to harm others, and your actions manifest the evil intentions in your putrid little heart, then Goku will come for you. And he will f*** you up.

Beerus-Strongest Anime Characters

Beerus-Strongest Anime Characters

It’s starting to get a little Dragon Ball-heavy in here, isn’t it? Well, don’t blame us — we’re just calling it like we see it. Blame sensei Akira Toriyama (and do so with respect) for writing some seriously overpowered characters and cramming them all into the same universe. The miraculous, unexpected existence of Dragon Ball Super brought about a whole new roster of characters that put Goku and Vegeta to absolute shame when it comes to power levels. Beerus, the God of Destruction of Universe 7, is a lazy, playful, catlike god, but he has the power to obliterate vast expanses of space and matter at will. That’s in his job title, after all. A fully powered Super Saiyan 3 Goku was knocked out flat by a single kick from Beerus. Even when Goku ascended to Super Saiyan God form, he was no match for the God of Destruction. We’re sure that Goku will pass Beerus’ strength eventually as Dragon Ball Super progresses, but right now he is Beerus’s b*tch, as are most other characters in the anime universe.

Whis-Strongest Anime Characters

Whis-Strongest Anime Characters

In Dragon Ball Super, Whis is the baby sitter — erm, attendant, of Lord Beerus. He’s also the one who taught him martial arts, which is certainly saying a lot. The first glimpse we saw of Whis’ strength was when he knocked Beerus out cold with a single strike to the neck. Up until that point, we viewers were still awestruck by Beerus’ sheer dominance over Super Saiyan God Goku, but Whis made us quickly realize that there is a vast spectrum of power yet to be explored in the Dragon Ball universe. In training Goku and Vegeta, he takes them both on at the same time and completely exerts them without expending a fraction of his energy. Sensei Akira Toriyama himself said that, when it comes to power ratings in Dragon Ball Super, Super Saiyan God Goku would be a 6, Beerus would be a 10, and Whis would be a 15. However, he’s still far from being the strongest character in the series.

Vados-Strongest Anime Characters

Vados-Strongest Anime Characters

That’s right, Whis’ sister is possibly even stronger than he is. Vados attends and teaches martial arts to Champa, the God of Destruction of Universe 6. The pair are a sort of mirror for Whis and Beerus in Universe 7 — though Champa and Beerus are quite different in demeanor and appearance, while Vados and Whis seem to be pretty similar to each other, except for the fact that there might be a power difference between the two. Vados actually trained Whis in martial arts, and has stated herself that she is “a little bit stronger” than him, though Whis quickly retorted that she has not trained him in the past 1000 years. Regardless, Vados possesses unfathomable power — she also knocked out her respective God of Destruction with one blow to the neck, and has displayed the ability to destroy a whole planet a great distance away by lightly tapping her staff.

The Grand Priest-Strongest Anime Characters

The Grand Priest-Strongest Anime Characters

Let’s have another Dragon Ball feature here, shall we? Once again, don’t mail your angry letters to us for including so many Dragon Ball characters on this list; please direct them to sensei Akira Toriyama for creating such OP figures. Out of all the “angels” in Dragon Ball Super, like Whis and Vados, the Grand Priest is by far the most powerful. We have not seen the true extent of his abilities, as he has not yet been shown in a fight. However, the Grand Priest is said to be among the top 5 fighters in the Dragon Ball multiverse, and Whis himself stated that his power is absolutely no match for the Grand Priest, and he wouldn’t even be able to touch him if they fought. With these insane power levels shown in Dragon Ball Super, it seems as though we’ve come a long, long way since Raditz and Nappa were considered threats. However, there are 4 other entries on this list that take the concept of power to a whole new level.

Saitama-Strongest Anime Characters

Saitama-Strongest Anime Characters

The One-Punch Man gets the number three spot on this list. The simple fact is that, like Superman, Saitama’s writers disrespected all rules of balance when they created him. Put simply, he’s just broken. It doesn’t matter what special abilities the other characters on this list have, it doesn’t matter how much training they did to prepare themselves before the fight. One punch from Mr. Saitama, and they’re instantly dead. To make him seem even more overpowered, it’s been stated in the show that Saitama has a vast well of untapped potential, and all his fights show him using only a fraction of his strength. Where does a fighter who can end every opponent with one blow progress to? What kind of powers will he have once his strength climaxes? Whatever that might look like, we bet it still would not come close to the top three characters on this list.
